Fight Like a Girl: My Loot Crate Dream Crate

We live in a world where we have a variety of choices at our disposal when it comes to subscription boxes. But what if you could create your own? From choosing the theme to selecting each item that goes into the box. Well Loot Crate has been reaching out to fans to share what their very own “Dream Crate” would be.

If you aren’t familiar, Loot Crate is a subscription box service which provides monthly boxes filled with 4-6 geek and gaming items that fit the theme of the month. As well as the original Loot Crate, they also have more specific boxes such as Loot Anime, Loot Pets, Loot Wear and Loot Gaming.

Loot Crate recently contacted me (I know! I couldn’t believe it at first either!) about participating in their Dream Crate project.

It took a lot of humming and hawing before I could decide on a theme. The possibilities are endless! But I decided on one that’s most important to me and if you couldn’t tell from the title already, the theme I chose is:

Fight Like a Girl

Sailor Moon sticker

First up we have the namesake of my Dream Crate. When I figured out the theme for the box I just knew that I had to call it this and include this piece. I see this  every time I search Sailor Moon on RedBubble (don’t ask) and it gives me serious heart eyes. I don’t watch much anime but Sailor Moon was my favourite growing up. It was just so great to see a teenage girl who was pretty clumsy turn into a super badass fighter.

Luna Lovegood Bookmark

I wouldn’t be a real book blogger if I didn’t include a bookmark (especially a magnetic one) in my dream crate so here’s everyone’s favourite Ravenclaw, Luna Lovegood. Not only is she smart but she shows us that it’s okay to stand out from everyone else and do your own thing. You don’t always have to follow the crowd.

Manon Blackbeak Body Soap

Alright, I don’t know about you but my favourite character from Throne of Glass is Manon Blackbeak so I’ve included her in the form of body soap! Who doesn’t want to smell like a fierce, badass witch?! This particular soap is scented with Blood, Wind and Iron Teeth. Now doesn’t that sound enticing?

Mulan Pop! Vinyl

My favourite Disney princess has always been Mulan. I mean, come on, she saved an entire EMPIRE! So logically I would have to include a Mulan Pop! Vinyl in my Dream Crate (even if I already have one but shh).

The next time someone tells you that you fight like a girl just smile and thank them for comparing you to Mulan.

Agent Carter Tote Bag

Finally we have a nice and simple tote bag for you to carry all your books around in. It’s printed with the iconic Peggy Carter quote “I know my value. Anyone else’s opinion doesn’t really matter.” As if that quote doesn’t just make your heart sing!

And that’s it for my Dream Crate! I tried to keep it simple and fairly realistic. It’s not as bookish as I would like but then again, it’s not a book box. What would you include in a “Fight Like a Girl” themed box?

What would the theme of your Dream Crate be and what would you include?

Don’t forget that the Dream Crate project is open to any and everyone! If you do a Dream Crate leave a link in the comments so I can see what goodies you would include in your own crate!

Happy reading,

I love your theme especially and I’m always looking for kick ass women in literature and I think this would be amazing!
I love your choices and how they range from different genres too like Mulan, so cute! How exciting that they contacted you, I hope they consider doing a box like this!
