Review: The Martian

BOOK REVIEW: The Martian by Andy Weir

I had originally heard about The Martian about half a year ago on a Rooster Teeth podcast (I’d link it but I can’t remember which episode it was). Then time went by and the movie was released and did really well and I decided I had to read it.

It’s a science fiction novel about an astronaut so of course there’d be a lot of science and maths and as I’m not a big science or maths lover that was a little hard to get through at first. After overcoming that, it becomes a fairly easy read, helped along by the funny lines that are entwined throughout the book.

The Martian is a gripping novel and you’ll be rooting for Mark Watney’s survival the entire time, unable to put the book down because you want to know just what will happen next.
